Drew Tyriver and Jacob Tyriver

Owners

Drew and Jacob are longtime residents of Madison County Alabama. The father-son duo brings small business experience for over 20 years in the North Alabama area, with Drew bringing 40 years of experience in the food and beverage industry. The Tyrivers enter this business with a love of whiskey (both producing and consuming!), and bring a family history in the drink industry dating back to pre-prohibition.

The Tyrivers are proud to continue the legacy of Black Patch Distilling Company, preserving tradition and delivering high quality products to existing and new customers.

Gary Cooper

FoundeR and Head Distiller

Gary co-founded Black Patch Distilling Co. with his son Clayton. Gary brought decades of experience in chemistry, brewing and distilling to the founding of Black Patch, and created the recipes currently being produced and enjoyed. His passion is not in fluff and being fancy, his passion is in the hard work it takes to live up to Black Patch’s core values of hard work, commitment and sacrifice.

After several years owning and operating the distillery, we are proud to have Gary continue as Black Patch Distilling Co. Master Distiller.
